What: Earth Day Expo 2018
Where: Habana Outpost, Fort Greene
When: Saturday, April 14th
Why: Let’s give it up one more time for Spring. As April signifies our very public love affair with the planet, we turn our attention to Earth Day events happening all over New York City, beginning this coming weekend.
Next Saturday is opening day at Brooklyn’s favorite eco-eatery Habana Outpost, where the locals come for the frozen mojitos (made on a human-powered bike blender), fun outdoor setting, and great grilled corn. As part of the restaurant’s Earth Day Expo 2018, Habana is offering a full-day schedule of free green activities for all ages. Expect everything from composting workshops to seed giveaways.
Cost: Free
How to get there: C train to Lafayette; G train to Fulton; N/R/D/M train to Atlantic Avenue – Pacific Street. (Habana Outpost, 757 Fulton Street; 718.858.9500; cafehabana.com)
