What: Trapped in Purgatory
Why: Trapped in Purgatory is a re-creation of Dante’s nine circles of hell where tortured souls are doomed to live out their afterlife in limbo. There will be scary special effects. Visitors will walk through a haunted house where Satan’s rejects writhe around and agonize among vampires and cockroaches.
Where: Greenside Up Nursery, 5050 Haylen Blvd., Staten Island, NY
When: Oct 5-31, Fri-Sat 7:30-11pm; Sun 6pm-10pm
Cost: $5 for kids under 12, $7 for adults during the day, $10 at night
How to get there: By train, take the N, R, or W train downtown towards Brooklyn to Whitehall Street-South Ferry/Water Street. Then, take the Staten Island Ferry at Whitehall Terminal Manhattan (South Ferry). Coming from the Staten Island Ferry: take the train to Annadale train Station, from the exit turn right on Amboy Road and walk for four short blocks. The fifth is Pullion Ave., make a left and walk for two more streets, the second street is Haylen Blvd. and the Garden Center hosting our haunt is right across the street.
