The Putnam County Wine & Food Festival is back for its 7th annual run at the Iron & Wine Restaurant and Westview Golf Driving Range in Patterson, NY. Spanning two days from Saturday August 12th to Sunday August 13th, the event offers music, brews, local farmers, and art all with the beautiful backdrop of the Hudson Valley.
The weekend is jam packed with activities, music and cooking demos. Expect to find local food vendors, chefs, artists and craftsmen onsite sharing their Hudson Valley produce and products throughout the weekend. The highlight though, are the wine, cider and beer experts. Grab your tasting glass and head into the Tasting Tent to meet the makers behind some of the best drinks in the Hudson Valley. Watch a mixology demo, talk to brewmasters and taste test to your heart’s content before heading outside for the live entertainment.
Jim Marrone Trio Demo (Playing Saturday August 12th)
There’s something for everyone at this festival with musical acts playing everything from Pop to Country, R&B, and Reggae. For those looking for Caribbean flair, make sure to head over Sunday for Caribbean Music paired with cooking demos by Jamaican Pastry Chef Roushell Riley. You can find the full schedule here.
How to get there:
Take Metro-North’s Harlem Line to the Patterson Train Station ($16.27). From the parking lot at the train station there will be free shuttles to the venue. Tickets cost $29.48/day and include access to the festival, a tasting ticket and a tasting glass. Purchase tickets here. Pro tip: there are half off tickets being sold here for a limited time only.
