Come Sunday, it will officially be spring, at least in our humble opinion. That’s when the Coney Island Cyclone, the beloved roller coaster, will open for the season. The festivities begin at 11:30 a.m., with the first roller-coaster ride kicking into gear at noon. Go early: The first 100 riders go free. The ride is generally open from noon to 8 p.m. daily, depending on the weather. Hours vary during the spring and summer.
