Description
The clowns, the cotton candy, the dancing animals… Who didn’t want to join the Circus as a kid? You may not have boarded the train with the ringmaster, but now your circus (and fitness!) dreams can come true. Enter Kinetic Arts Center, a brave new “fitness and circus arts community” in Oakland.
The center offers a broad range of classes from A to Y (acrobatics to yoga), for adult and youth students. We’re talking juggling, clowning, “Circus Fitness,” Tai Chi and much, much more. There is something for every level and there is even a “Wee Circus” for the teeniest of clowns (starting at 18 months).
Class prices start at $16 for drop-ins or $72 for a package. For the wee ones, the center offers youth camps in addition to a variety of classes.

Directions
Take BART (Pittsburgh/Bay Point, Fremont, or Richmond lines) to West Oakland. From there, you can either take the AC Transit Bus 62 to 7th Street/Market or walk about 15 minutes to 785 7th Street.
