Unfortunately, Cannery Row is primarily a tourist gimmick. However, sometimes it can be fun to play the tourist. With so much natural beauty in Monterey, don’t spend too much time on Cannery Row, but if you’d like to take a few minutes to tool around in the shops, stop by Carousel Candies for some salt-water taffy.
Directions
Take Caltrain to the San Jose Caltrain Station. From there, walk to Cahill/Diridon Station and take Bus 79 towards Monterey.
