Description
All that artwork can really work up an appetite! So grab a bite at the Cool Café, an entirely local, sustainable and organic restaurant. Whether it’s the lack of growth hormones, or the fact that the food is locally grown, but the ingredients Cool Café uses are phenomenal. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and was amazed by the quality of the chicken meat. There was a mix of light meat and dark meat, and it was filled with flavor. Oftentimes, when I order a chicken sandwich, I find myself taken by the flavors of the cheese, or avocado or aioli dressing, but with my sandwich at the Cool Café, I found myself amazed by simply the taste of the chicken. My friend ordered the Cobb salad and shared my enthusiasm for the quality of the ingredients. Everything from the lettuce, to the cheese to the chicken served to create a combination of tastes very pleasing to the palate.
Furthermore, the restaurant is located right on the Rodin Sculpture Garden, making for a very pleasant dining experience. The outdoor seating creates a casual atmosphere, making this lunch spot accessible for everyone from professors to young children.
However, these top ingredients don’t come cheap. Salads range from $8 to $14 and sandwiches range from $8 to $10. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and open Thursdays until 8 p.m. for dinner.
