Around this time every summer, when the days start to get really hot, we dream of fall and two-wheeled adventures like the Golden Apple Ride in Westchester.
While road trips are fun, there’s nothing like leaf-peeping from the seat of a bike. On Sunday, October 11, join the Westchester Cycle Club for this fully supported ride offering routes ranging from 25 miles to 100 miles, as well as food stops and a finish festival with lunch and a tour t-shirt you’ll wear with pride.
New Yorkers do not need to become a WCC member to enjoy the ride and can take their bikes on Metro North (just remember to bring your $5 lifetime bike permit). Get off at the Goldens Bridge Metro North station, a few minutes from the start site.
Registration is $45 until midnight on July 29, when it increases to $55. For more info and to sign up today for this wonderful Westchester Cycle Club outing, visit goldenappleride.org.
