A few new Google Maps functions can help you travel more efficiently. Now when you program your trip, Google Maps will notify you if that restaurant or museum will be closed before your estimated time of arrival. Among the cool upgrades, the app will sync up with your Gmail to factor in info about car-rentals, flights and hotel bookings. Google Maps is also offering new real-time transit alerts.
