What: Bridge as Icon, an art exhibition
When: Sunday, May 25—July 26
Where: Tabla Rasa Gallery, Brooklyn, NY
Why: Celebrate the bridge on its 125th birthday. You’ve walked, biked, driven over it, and probably shared a picnic in the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park beside it. This Sunday, meet the artists who have interpreted and brought to life this New York landmark through original contemporary paintings, photographs, and installations.
How to get there: Take the yellow line’s southbound R Train to 45th St., walk to 48th St., turn right and walk down to #224. Exhibition reception Sunday 25th from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. Gallery hours: noon – 5:00 pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through June. Call for updated summer hours.
