Review: Cantor Arts Center

328 Lomita Drive, Stanford, CA

Description

Soak in some culture in the Rodin Sculpture Garden at the Cantor Art Center. The Center displays 170 Rodin sculptures, making it the second largest gallery of Rodin sculptures in the world. The sculptures on display are primarily cast in bronze, but also including works cast in wax, plaster, and terra cotta. After you’ve spent enough time analyzing The Thinker, move upstairs and check out some of the museum’s modern artwork. Wind your way through a Richard Serra maze, gaze at 1960s lights and find a few surprising statues in the gallery.

The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday evenings the museum is open late until 8 p.m. Admission is free.
