Description
Opened in 2009, the New Parish has quickly become a favorite for those looking for an intimate show and a range of artists. A small venue in Oakland’s Uptown neighborhood, it’s known for its great energy, clean yet eclectic décor, strong drinks, and cheap prices (tickets are between $10 and $15 bucks). Plus it’s got an outdoor patio and a friendly staff.
Tip: Best seats in the house are those on the balcony. Actually, those are the only seats. So if you want to spend the show relaxing instead of dancing on the typically energetic lower floor, get there early to snag the coveted balcony view.
