Description

The 285-foot tower provides a beautiful view of Stanford’s campus and, on a clear day, numerous sights in the Bay Area. Visitors may ride an elevator to the 14th floor of the Hoover Tower to the observation deck. At the top of the tower, visitors can also view the Tower’s 48 bells. At the lower level of the Hoover Tower, visitors may view the exhibit on alumni Herbert Hoover and his wife, Lou Henry Hoover. The Hoover Tower was constructed in 1941 to commemorate Stanford’s 50th anniversary. Adults may ride to the top of the Tower for $2 and children under 12 and seniors for $1. The Hoover Tower is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
