Picture this: A pretty, tree-filled terrace against a backdrop of the Santa Cruz Mountains, twinkle lights aglow as the sun sets, the buzz of convivial conversation as wine and appetizers are passed, and then a sumptuous five-course meal featuring farm-fresh ingredients and free-flowing local wines.
At Chaminade Resort & Spa, the fantasy becomes the reality on at the Farm to Table Wine Dinner Series. Now through October, each monthly dinner will take the seasonal harvest of the Central Coast as inspiration, with a featured farmer and vintner on hand to engage in conversation about local, sustainable eating and drinking.
Dinners take place on August 21 (featuring Morgan Winery and Leftcoast Grassfed), September 25 ( Summit to Sea Wineries and Everett Family Farm), and October 1 (Alfaro Winery and Route 1).
The dinner price is $110, but you can also make a getaway of it by indulging in the Farm to Table Wine Dinner Overnight Package, which includes overnight accommodation, the wine dinner for two, and breakfast for two on Saturday morning—so you can wake refreshed and enjoy the best of Santa Cruz.
