This Thursday, take shelter from the rain at Belcampo Meat Co.’s latest “Meat-Up,” held at Blue Bottle Coffee in Oakland’s Jack London Square. Belcampo’s lunchtime gatherings serve up irresistible fare, incorporating 100% grass-fed and pastured meat from their northern California farm. On the menu this month: beef chile verde with handmade corn tortillas and spicy pickled vegetables (and, of course, a full selection of Blue Bottle Coffee to wash it all down).
If you missed out on Belcampo’s last Meat-Up – a Valentine’s Day-themed smoked tongue and heart sandwich with pickled beets – you’ll want to be at Oakland’s waterfront this Thursday, March 15, from 12-2:30 pm.
This summer, Belcampo Meat Co. will launch the first of several modern day butcher shops, integrating the best of old-fashioned meat and butchery traditions. The first location, in Larkspur, is a short walk from the ferry terminal.
