Description
The Bike Hut is located on the scenic South Beach, close to numerous bike trails around the city. Basic mountain bikes can be rented for $6 an hour or $22 per day, and tandem cruisers are available for $11 per hour and $36 per day. Kids’ bikes are available for $3 an hour. All rentals include helmets, locks, and maps. And the Bike Hut also offers longer term rental or repurchase agreements upon request (they also sell very inexpensive used bikes).
There aren’t any fixed- gear or high- end road bikes available, but if you call ahead of time you can reserve a baby seat or child trailer. Although there are slightly fewer bike options here than at other rental places, the Bike Hut is unique in that it is a non- profit 501(c3) organization that promotes cycling for underprivileged youths and refugees—so you don’t have to feel guilty about splurging.
