Description
As you might guess from the name, in addition to the 22 fields of Christmas trees at this whopping farm, you’ll also find Santa and his elfin workshop. Plus there are carolers, a holiday train, and a regular puppet shows in the Elves’ Workshop Puppet Theatre at Charles Dickens Square (whew!). We dare you to get more Christmas-y than that.
Don’t forget to grab a cup of complimentary hot apple cider on your way out to peruse the evergreens. On weekends, you can also get in some holiday shopping at the Sleighbells Gift Shop (note that puppet shows are also weekends only).
Trees cost between $46 and $69, and train rides are $2 per person. Varietals include Firs, Redwoods, and Monterey Pines. Choose a pesticide-free tree to up your green ante. Services from flocking to fire retardant are also available. Directions
You’ll have to drive (to transport your tree). Green it by making sure your car is tuned and all extra cargo is removed, so you burn as little fuels as possible.
