Description
There’s something majestic and heartbreakingly beautiful about horses. And there’s something sentimental and precious about our relationship with them. Understanding all this, the good folks at Isabella Farms provide a gorgeous place, at the base of Mount Diablo, where humans and horses can commune.
All of the mounts at this 15-acre rach are young, healthy, and well- rested. And each goes out on only one trail ride per day. This farm offers five- or six-hour trail rides, which ensure plenty of time to bond with your horse. Riders get to spend the day with their steeds, learning how to saddle, bridle, and communicate with them. Skilled instructors guide every step, including a nice long ride through the stunning Mount Diablo foothills.
Rides are offered daily and cost $125 for the five-hour Trail Riding Intro Experience and $150 for the six-hour Trail Riding Advanced Adventure. Book online and in advance to secure a spot.

Directions
Take BART to Concord and catch the County Connection 10 bus to Marsh Creek Road/Bigelow Street (the journey takes about an hour and a half). From there it’s about a 13-minute taxi ride to the farm.
