It’s not just for the Little Leagues! Home to batting cages, an indoor soccer field, and spot-on replicas of some of the great American ballparks—Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium , Fenway Park… —Manteca’s Big Leauge Dreams complex makes baseball fans of all ages drool. (The first time I visited as coach of a traveling team, I wanted to quite coaching and start playing again.)
In addition to serving as a home base to various local baseball, softball, and soccer leagues, Big League Dreams is occupied almost every weekend with tournaments for traveling leagues of all age ranges. In short, there is always something to see. And at just $5 a person, it’s a day at the ballpark(s) for a fraction of the cost of a game ticket.
The two on-site restaurants/sports bars in the complex serve up the usual ballpark fare, alongside views of select fields and plenty of TVs for keeping up with the big leagues. Check the website for hours and event times.
