Description
Meet the champagne of beers. Well, in that the Russian River Brewing Company was originally owned by Korbel Champagne Cellars. These days RRBC belongs to original brewmaster Vinnie Cilurzo, who received a “field” education on the Korbel hops field and experimented with brewing beer in wine barrels before opening this Santa Rosa brewpub (the production brewery is now just a mile away).
The laid-back pub is a favorite place among Santa Rosa locals (including this one). The atmosphere is lively and friendly, the food outstanding, and the beer (call me biased if you must) unmatched. Seating is limited both indoors and out, and small-batch microbrews are sometimes available (check at the bar).
Happy Hour runs from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day Sunday. The pub often has live music on the weekends (check the websit for specifics).
