Top Photography Spot: Hayward Japanese Gardens

The tiny but mighty Japanese Gardens in Hayward pack a lot of punch. Although it doesn’t take much more than ten minutes to walk around the entire place, the tranquility and serenity will make you want to linger for hours.

Sure, we’ve got expansive tea gardens in our own backyard, but the ones in Hayward are the oldest traditionally designed Japanese gardens in California. Embracing the elements of water, stone, trees and flowers, fish, and architecture, this garden will momentarily transport you into a far away land (and perhaps even into a time long forgotten).

It’s no wonder that the hidden gem is a popular location for photo shoots. The garden is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
