The festival\u2019s initial sound off begins in Fort Greene at BAM\u2019s Howard Gilman Opera house where the Vivian Girls<\/strong> will open for the antic-inclined Les Savy Fav<\/strong>. The following weekend Ra Ra Riot<\/strong> and The Antlers<\/strong> will convince you there is genius that can come from collaborative chaos. If you\u2019re looking for some emotionally laced instrumentation, check out the loops of lyricist Merrill Garbus of tUnE-YarDs, feel Kelli Rudick <\/strong>touch your heart while plucking strings and let The Revelations<\/strong> rock your soul slow.<\/p>\n

Being that the list of featured acts are as diverse as the music venues be sure and check out the shows at new venue Brooklyn Bowl and the relocated Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, indie music staple SouthPaw in Park Slope, and Clinton Hill\u2019s Le Grand Dakar<\/strong> for afro-based beats.
