The Tour\u2014an all day bike ride on the hunt for the best taco in three boroughs\u2014will park and ride at a total of nine taco shops from start to finish.<\/p>\n<p>Since both Singh and Demarest have a love for the fillings and trimmings that accompany Mexican provisions popularly consumed at carts, ballparks, and stands, El Tour was an ideal ride. \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to explore other places, to ride where you\u2019ve never been before,&#8221; said Demarest. &#8220;I don\u2019t think I can eat nine tacos in a day but I\u2019ll try.\u201d<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nEl Tour officially meets on the Upper West Side at Taqueria y Fonda at noon, but Singh will lead a ride from the Grand Army Plaza Arch at 10:30 a.m. Once she joins Demarest at noon, they\u2019ll ride to spots like Tortilleria Nixtamal in Corona, Queens, then to Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos in Bushwick, to the Red Hook ball fields and Tacos Nuevos Mexico in Park Slope. Unlike the Tour de France, cyclists joining El Tour will be on a leisure ride with the option to stay for as many or as few destinations as they choose. With Singh providing live Twitter location updates throughout the afternoon, you\u2019re sure to know just when to join up for some good eating rolled up in shell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost:<\/strong> Free<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to get there: <\/strong><em>Take the B and exit at 7th Avenue. Exit near Park Place and Carlton Ave. Head South on Carlton towards Flatbush. Make a right onto Grand Army Plaza and meet at the Arch.
