Going out now is more than just going to eat. It is an event.<\/span><\/p>\n

My heart flutters when I know I am going to a tasting. <\/span><\/p>\n

I am so fortunate to receive such lovely invites to so many wonderful restaurants. <\/span><\/p>\n

Before my restaurant writing life I loved ordering. Always asking what you would recommend. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a former server I personally loved when customers would ask what is good. <\/span><\/p>\n

I now go to tastings and when I am asked what I would like I respond with what would you like me to have.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applause to the server\u2019s comfort with recommendations. These are the ones that prove excellence in what they do. The suggestion is always spot on. <\/span><\/p>\n

Occasionally I get to do a true tasting. <\/span><\/p>\n

Welcome to Limani Roslyn<\/b><\/h2>\n

At Limani <\/span>Roslyn<\/span><\/a> this experience was not only a true tasting but personally chosen by the Captain, Nestor. <\/span><\/p>\n

On this cold January evening we drove up to the valet and were greeted by a beautiful entrance. Manhattan worthy d\u00e9cor. Classic and elegant. <\/span><\/p>\n

Covid safety glass framed beautifully that fit seamlessly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bustling open kitchen behind cases of the fresh meats. <\/span><\/p>\n

Beautiful raw bar displaying the freshest seafood possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Impressive wine rooms side by side with private dining available. <\/span><\/p>\n

As beautiful as the space, the food did not disappoint. <\/span><\/p>\n

Starters: Pita With 2 Kinds of Hummus<\/b><\/h2>\n

To begin, pita and two kinds of hummus. Delicious.<\/span><\/p>\n

Followed by Salmon ceviche in vinegar sauce. So clean and fresh and a delightful surprise. <\/span><\/p>\n

Then the parade of dishes began.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grilled octopus. Charred beautifully in a light lemon sauce.<\/span><\/p>\n

Calamari \u2013 one of my favorites and done perfectly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zucchini and Eggplant chips yum yum yum. Always order Zucchini chips whenever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n
