You could spend the entire day at the <strong>Brooklyn Book Festival<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>hobnobbing with the likes of Russel Banks, Joan Didion, Jonathan Franzen, A.M. Homes, Michael Moore, David Rakoff, Jonathan Lethem, Dorothy Allison, the list goes on.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->A few events of note: At 3 p.m. in the Borough Hall Courtroom, a panel of authors will discuss &#8220;Identity and Struggle in Contemporary Fiction,&#8221; which will include readings by Elizabeth Nunez (Prospero\u2019s Daughter) and Terry McMillan (Waiting to Exhale).\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m., international bestseller Jonathen Franzen (The Corrections) will read and be among a discussion on &#8220;Top Shelf Fiction.&#8221; On the South Stage, BAM will present a snippet of its Puppet Play, &#8220;A Quarreling Pair.&#8221; On the Youth Stoop at 5 p.m., author Will Wright will present a dramatic reading of &#8220;When the Black Girl Sings&#8221; with performances by members of the cast of The Color Purple and Coram Boy.<\/p>\n<p>Bring a journal, notebook or iphone; this festival is sure to inspire you to continue burning the midnight oil penning that next great American novel.
