From inception, QTP\u2019s tradition of transporting locals to global countries with a program of dance, film, music and spoken word has made it the cultural conduit for New Yorkers. There\u2019ll be traditional dance (tango, milongo, urban) and legendary voices (Susana Baca, Yomo Toro,) interlaced throughout the performances. Don\u2019t miss Leon Geico who is hailed as a pop-folk Bob Dylan, and Columbian folk artist Jorge Velosa who\u2019ll introduce carranguero music. Representing countries include Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, the U.S. and Venezuela. Whether your mode of transport to this celebration of Latin roots is by bike, bus, or train, you\u2019ll feel like you\u2019ve seen the world in nine days.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Cost: <\/strong>Many of the events are free admission. Check the site below for more details.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to get there:<\/strong> <em>Take the 7 train to Mets-Willets Point stop. Exit and turn left after passing through turnstile, walk downstairs on the parking lot side and follow the theatre shuttle signs. Take free trolley to the Theatre. Trolley runs for one hour before and after all performances.
