Thanks to the new Northside Radio stream at <a title=\"Radio23 station\" href=\"http:\/\/www.radio23.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Radio23.org<\/a>, we were able to sample some of the 300 and counting bands to present our highlights for the best authentic sounds to look out for at the fest this year. Grab your badges and come join us. \u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re ready to stand up, clap, whistle and get swept away by the likes of <strong>Harper Blynn\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cLoneliest Generation,\u201d <strong>Real Estate\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cBeach Comber,\u201d <strong>Bermuda Bonnie\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cHouseBoat,\u201d World Atlas on \u201cThe Winter Stories,\u201d <strong>The Canon Logic\u2019s<\/strong>, \u201cNights at Armour Mansion,\u201d and <strong>Forest Fire\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cSlow Motion\u201d with <strong>Oberhofer<\/strong> on \u201cAway From You.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the music programming, the new FilmFest feature will screen a daily duo of films at 8 and 10 p.m. at the nabe\u2019s art house theater IndieScreen. Mark your calendars for Friday night&#8217;s later screening \u201cNY Export: Opus Jazz\u201d and\u00a0 Sunday\u2019s early viewing of the \u201cBrooklyn Shorts\u201d series curated by Rooftop Films at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Before seeing evening shows on Saturday and Sunday, head to Brooklyn a little early to enjoy a car-free Bedford Avenue for the annual <a title=\"Williamsburg Walks\" href=\"http:\/\/www.williamsburgwalks.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Williamsburg Walks<\/a>, organized by the Willamsburg Gallery Association, which is also curating 25 galleries worth of narrative, abstract, and multimedia art.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s what summer&#8217;s all about: venue hopping, trolley riding, and tweeting our discoveries while traipsing along Bedford, drinking discount beers at featured bars, and huddling happily with hundreds at Barge Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to get there: <\/strong><em>All participating places are accessible by subway, bike, trolley or foot.
