Description<\/strong>
\nOn the first Sunday of each month, the stark runways of the former Alameda Point Naval Air Station come alive with more than 800 booths selling fantastic vintage treasures. The fair’s claim to offer the “widest array of antiques and collectibles on the west coast” is not unfounded\u2014from cool-again fashion items to quirky antique decor, you’ll find it all here. And you’ll find it against the phenomenal backdrop of the San Francisco skyline, \u00a0Bay\u00a0Bridge, Marin County, and Oakland’s Port (fantastic photo ops, here you come).<\/p>\n

The faire runs from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., and a Michaan’s Auctions<\/a>\u00a0estate\u00a0auction takes place at\u00a010 a.m. in the nearby auction house\u00a0facility (a parking lot shuttle travels to the auction gallery each hour). \u00a0The Antiques Faire offers courtesy flat carts, customer loading zones,\u00a0shopping cart rentals, and a customer lounge.<\/p>\n

There are also ATMs on site (but beware that they run out of cash early in the day), as well as a variety of food choices.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Take the\u00a0ferry<\/a>\u00a0to Harbor Bay, or\u00a0take\u00a0BART<\/a>\u00a0to Fruitvale and transfer to one of many\u00a0AC Transit<\/a>\u00a0buses that link to Alameda.<\/p>\n
