It was (not surprisingly) public transportation that spawned this lovely lane. With the late-19th-century introduction of the San Francisco &amp; Alameda Railroad, the island that was once populated by a few lonely farmhouses quickly became a residential suburb, and some stunning buildings sprang up along Park Street.<\/p>\n<p>Today on Park Street, many of these ornate edifices are home to modern shops and adorable eateries. There&#8217;s something here to pique every interest. Crafter?
