And the aquarium offers wonders galore. Here,\u00a0<strong>what to see at the Monterey Bay Aquarium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Kids of all ages will love hobnobbing with the sharks and sturgeon of Monterey\u2019s own bay, or diving deep into the mysteries of the enigmatic seahorse (the only species in the animal kingdom where the male gets pregnant).\u00a0Then head over to the \u201cGiant Pacific Octopus\u201d exhibit is great for learning about this intelligent master of disguise, and lucky ones will catch marine biologist Adam Frantz challenging the 11-pound creatures with treats hidden in plastic mazes, balls and jars during his \u201cenrichment program.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBehind-the-Scenes\u201d tour, with its fun stories from the keepers themselves, is a great option for anyone who\u2019s ever been tempted to sneak behind those \u201cStaff-only\u201d doors. And \u201cpetting pools\u201d and sea otter and penguin feedings are another great way to get in on the action.<\/p>\n<p>When it\u2019s time for \u201cpeople-feeding,\u201d the aquarium offers a full-service, window-walled restaurant (with binoculars on loan for spotting whales and seals) or the more casual self-serve caf\u00e9. The menu caters to all tastes offering pizza, fresh seafood, vegetarian options, ethnic specialties and wine.
