San Francisco natives are fortunate enough to experience incredible weather all year round, but that doesn\u2019t always mean we take advantage of it when it arrives. 1. The 49-Mile Scenic Drive<\/span><\/h2>\n

The 49-Mile Scenic Drive is one of the most famous routes in the United States. Created in 1938, this route originally started at <\/span>San Francisco City Hall<\/span><\/a> and ended on Treasure Island. Now, the route forms a counterclockwise loop from Civic Center Plaza and stretches 48.8 miles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the city\u2019s congested traffic, tourists shouldn\u2019t travel this route during rush hour. Instead, they should wait until mid-day or late at night to see the following sights, grouped by location:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. The Civic Center, Japan Town, and Union Square <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Chinatown, Nob Hill, and Jackson Square<\/span><\/li>\n

  5. Union Street and the Palace of Fine Arts<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Fort Point National Site and the Golden Gate Bridge<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Legion of Honor and Lake Merced<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Golden Gate Park and Japanese Tea Garden<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Conservatory of Flowers and Twin Peaks<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Ferry Building and Montgomery Street<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That\u2019s a lot of sights to see, and all of them are worth the trip. But even if you don\u2019t have a car or you always seem to hit rush-hour traffic, you can still experience <\/span>San Francisco Bay by bike<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
