Ride the Ducks<\/a>, the company that operates land-to-sea San Francisco tours, welcomed a new member to its fleet\u2014an actual Rubber Ducky replica named Daisy, who captures San Francisco’s zany spirit.\u00a0\u201cEach of our partners in cities across the country has its own personality, and we wanted to create a special boat that would represent San Francisco\u2019s fun-loving vibe,\u201d said Chris Connors, General Manager of Ride The Ducks of San Francisco. \u201cWe thought there was no better way to show our guests a good time than offering them a chance to actually ride a rubber ducky in real life. That\u2019s a once in a lifetime opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, Daisy is a fun-loving gal that adds an element of San Francisco’s signature eccentricity to your standard city tour. I had the pleasure of heading out on a preview tour, and found that Daisy\u2014along with her expert driver (and hilarious commentator), Captain Mike\u2014managed to\u00a0successfully break my too cool attitude, turning me from a jaded veteran local to a delighted tourist for the afternoon. Captain Mike’s beautifully timed jokes and vast knowledge of the city made the tour both entertaining and informative, and as Daisy glided from\u00a0land to sea, I found myself quietly squealing along with my fellow passengers.<\/p>\n

Daisy is a fun addition to San Francisco’s wide array of transportation, with the added bonus that you get some city history along with your travels.
