The happening drag is lined with restaurants and bars, plus an impressive amount of bookstores and a few quirky sights throughout in.<\/p>\n<p>Here, seven <strong>things to do in Mountain View<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.booksinc.net\/MountainView\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Books, Inc.\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>(301 Castro Street),\u00a0&#8220;The West&#8217;s Oldest Independent Bookseller,&#8221; has an outpost on the corner of Castro and Dana. We recommend planning some time to wander through this behemoth.<\/p>\n<p>2. Save room for an outstanding burger, too, made with grass-fed beef on a freshly baked bun by none other than New York\u2019s Shake Shack.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0Get lost in the world of locks (really) at\u00a0<b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jehninglockmuseum.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Jehnings Family Lock Museum<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>(175 Castro Street). Proprietors Audrey and Al Jehnings have been in the locksmith business since 1972, and have been collecting antique lock paraphernalia all the while. Set in the stunning 1903 Ames Building, the museum exhibits from its vast collection of \u00a0locks, keys, safes, and key rings from around the world. (The museum is open Wednesdays from 12-5 p.m., Thursdays from 6-8 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m; admission is free.)<\/p>\n<p>6. Take advantage of drink and appetizer specials during\u00a0happy hour (daily from 4:30-6:30 p.m. ) in the trendy lounge at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.xanhrestaurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Xanh\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>(110 Castro Street), an Asian-fusion hotspot that draws heavily on its Vietnamese influences.<\/p>\n<p>7. Indulge in homestyle Italian cooking (along with friendly Italian treatment) at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vasoazzurro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vaso Azzurro Ristorante<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(108 Castro Street).\u00a0If the garlic bread does not get you through the door then their service will. Offering a great selection of pastas and notable classics Vaso Azzurro has something for everyone. <i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong>Take <a href=\"https:\/\/offmetro.com\/sf\/1389\/caltrain-information-guide\/\">Caltrain<\/a> to Mountain View.
