Greenlight Bookstore’s featured Books Beneath the Bridge night will host New York author Amor Towles. His novel, Rules of Civility, is set in 1938, and tells the story of a year in the life of a 25-year old, and her venture into Conde Nast and a new social circle. It is a “love letter to a great American city at the end of the Depression, evoking the ghosts of Fitzgerald, Capote, and McCarthy.” The reading will take place underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, and will be accompanied by a local jazz trio performing ’30s style music, followed by a reception with cookies and lemonade.
