This summer, there are two new beautiful boutique hotels in Newport (family owned) and Bridgehampton (Tom Collichio) that merit a getaway. Greek gourmands and the taco obsessed have two recently opened spots to try on Long Island and Long Island City. For concert goers unable to satisfy their ears here, there is a free music festival starting June 16 at National Harbor Plaza in Maryland.

The Attwater Hotel | 22 Liberty Street Newport, RI

This new luxury boutique hotel sits in the heart of Newport’s historic district, next door to the 100-year-old Newport Art Museum and just an eight-minute walk to the beach. Guests will love the Attwater's stylish, modern coastal decor accented with bursts of color, as well as the on-site cafe serving up homemade pastries and French Press coffee. Rates start around $200 per night.

Topping Rose House | One Bridgehampton, Long Island

Top Chef’s famed head judge Tom Colicchio opens a boutique hotel and spa this summer in Sag Harbor. Open year round, the house will also feature a vegetable-inspired restaurant and a historic barn for private events.

Photoville | One Brookyln Bridge Park, Pier 3

Brooklyn welcomes a pop-up beer garden this summer, open from June 22 through July 1. Brooklyn Brewery and the Food Truck Association will be serving up refreshments and snacks in a waterfront village-style venue built from shipping containers.

Nammos Estiatoriaa | 136 Main Street, Southampton

Southampton has welcomed the newest Mediterranean restaurant this summer, headed by Greek Gourmet Award winner Chef Emmanouil Aslanoglou. Nammos Estiatoriaawill double as an exclusive nightclub on weekends.

Casa Enrique | 5-48 49th Avenue, Long Island City

Specializing in Mexican fare from the Chiapas region, Casa Enrique is headed by the owners of Bar Henry. Nosh on baby pork ribs or chicken mole in at this small-but-chic Queens eatery, decorated with paintings and greenery from local artists.

Pops on the Potomac Concert Series | National Harbor Plaza

The Chesapeake Orchestra performs free weekly concerts centered around nights of Mozart, “a little bit of Gypsy,” jazz, and more. VIP seating ($40) is available and includes hors d'oeuvres and a pre-concert reception with the musicians.
